Bending Grounds Chi Blockers
The un-paywalled movement lane: special run, acrobatic dash, master moves as you rank, weaker raw elemental damage.
Chi Blockers are the Bending Grounds answer to “I do not want to live on a spin.” Anyone can play the lane. It is not behind a paywall. You get a special run and an acrobatic dash. Ranking up adds master moves. Raw elemental damage is weaker than Water, Fire, or Earth, which is why the community BETA ranking parks the kit at B/C on the element tier list.
This is a player type, not a fourth Nation with a prettier fireball. If you came from the Players hub looking for a hero name, this is the closest the public beta gets to a non-bender fighter.
Identity
Chi Blockers want the side door. You do not win a Blast war or a geyser confirm. You run a line other people did not take, dash the burn, tag a greedy recovery, and leave before Ice Breaker starts. The special run is the identity. The acrobatic dash — shared in spirit with Air — is the survival button. Master moves arrive as you rank, so a day-one Chi Blocker and a ranked one are not the same character.
Strengths
- Access. Anyone can play. No paywall. Hand this lane to a friend after Getting Started if they refuse to roll.
- Movement plus rank. Special run and acrobatic dash in an 18-player courtyard; earth walls block Blast, not a player who refuses the hallway. Master moves grow the ceiling as you rank.
- You punish sloppy melee. Missed camera rotates, Kick at nothing, Funnel into your block — those rounds are yours.
Weaknesses
- Weaker raw elemental damage. You lose a stupid geyser trade. Projectile lobbies feel like C if you sprint the obvious line.
- Burn still applies if Blast hits you. 15%, dash clears it. Funnel from Air is blockable — block it, then run.
- High skill ceiling means a low floor. Picking the kit because it is free and never ranking is how B/C feels like F.
Sample string
No official damage card, and this wiki will not invent chi-point values:
- Do not open with a straight sprint into Water punches. Take the side line.
- Dash Fire Blast and dash burn. Tag a recovery — whiffed Flame Kick, blocked Funnel, Burst into scenery — then leave.
- Slot master moves into that same tag-and-leave plan. More buttons are not permission to stand in Geyser.
- Against Earth, go around the wall. Against Fire, make Kick miss. Against Water, never stay for punch four of the water combo.
Drill dash on controls and how to play. Rehearse tag-and-leave in the combo lab, then take it into the 18-player server.
Who Chi Blockers beat and lose to
Beats greedy benders, Air who Funnel on reaction, Earth who only know the hallway, Fire who never dash leftover burn. Loses to Water combo density, Fire pressure when you eat Blast, Earth walls if you refuse to path, and your own straight-line run. Community BETA opinions — watch updates and beta. Confirm rumours on Discord; if you were about to “unlock faster,” read script safety first.
How to unlock Chi Blockers
You do not spin this kit the way you spin Fire. Anyone can play. It is not behind a paywall. Rank to add master moves. You can still redeem codes — NewAir 5 spins, WeGotPlant 6 — for other slots with how to redeem, and you can still plan those banks in the spin planner and spins guide. Do not spend a Plant bank trying to “roll Chi Blockers.” That is not how the lane works.
If you later want a Nation kit, read Fire, Water, Earth, and Air before you dump the slot. Letters live on the Tier List hub and the sub-bending list.
You do not buy this kit. You learn the run, the acrobatic dash, and the master moves that appear as you rank. If a lobby is all projectiles, you will feel B/C. If a lobby is sloppy melee, you will look unfair. That swing is the point of the high skill ceiling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Are Chi Blockers paywalled?
No. Anyone can play. Ranking up adds master moves. That is the point of the lane compared with spin-gated Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
Why are they B/C instead of A?
Weaker raw elemental damage and a high skill ceiling. In projectile lobbies the floor is C. In sloppy melee the kit plays up. Snapshot on the element tier list.
Do they share a dash with Air?
Both have an acrobatic dash. Chi Blockers also get a special run. Air still has Funnel (blockable). See the Air page for the Nation version of that movement.
Should I spend WeGotPlant to get Chi Blockers?
No. WeGotPlant is 6 Current Slot Spins aimed at Plant. Chi Blockers are not a Plant roll. Bank that code on the codes page for a Nation slot.
How do I beat Water as a Chi Blocker?
Do not stay for the geyser string. Leave before punch four. The route is on water combos. Your job is the side door, not a punch marathon.
Is this kit finished in the public beta?
Moveset work is in the public beta and will shift. Re-read this page after updates instead of treating a showcase clip as a patch-proof bible.
