Bending Grounds Combo Lab

The Combo Lab is a notepad, not an in-browser trainer. Write a string, run it in the Bending Grounds public beta, cross out the input that dropped. CSL Studios’ 18-player servers on mobile, console, and PC punish people who only watched a Medal clip. This page sits with the Spin Planner under the Tools Hub. Finish spinning before you lab — never open Current Slot Spins mid-string.

The game is unofficial and fan-made, not affiliated with Avatar: The Last Airbender, Paramount, or Nickelodeon. There is no confirmed official Trello of frame data. Discord is the live source for patches. Chi Blockers can use the same paper method and are not paywalled.

How to write a string

Use a single line. Name the element. Put camera and dash in the line.

Copy this: Water | 4P - Geyser - 4P - Ice Breaker - camera - Aqua Burst - 4P | PC shift-lock | do not skip the camera or Burst misses

If you skip the camera rotate, Aqua Burst goes into the wall and the 18-player crowd watches you drop the chain. Write the camera. Then fight that line, not a longer fantasy combo you cannot finish.

Starter strings to put on paper

These are lab starters, not a hidden tier from a Trello that does not exist. Confirm names against water combos, Fire, Air, and controls.

• Water: 4P - Geyser - 4P - Ice Breaker - camera - Aqua Burst - 4P. Camera rotate is an input; Burst without it is a miss.
• Fire: 4P - Blast - Flame Kick - 4P. Blast confirms; Flame Kick follows. Do not reverse them because a clip looked cooler.
• Air: dash - Funnel - 4P. Funnel after dash is the point. Funnel from flat feet is a different move.
• Earth / Chi Blocker: 4P - your confirm - 4P. Write what you have unlocked. Lab the gap after a chi hit; do not assume a bending string still applies.

One string per session. Three pages of notes is how you mash Geyser twice.

Camera rotation is part of the combo

Ice Breaker into Aqua Burst only lines up if the camera faces the opponent’s new position. Fire Blast into Flame Kick needs the same honesty: if Blast launched them off-screen, the kick is a prayer. Air Funnel after dash is a movement combo; if the camera still points at the old rock, you funnel empty space.

On PC, shift-lock helps. On mobile, a thumb must drag the camera between buttons. On console, the right stick does that job while face buttons fire abilities. When you copy a Medal vod labelled [BETA] Bending Grounds, write the platform on the line. A shift-lock string will fail on a phone. That is why controls and how to play belong next to this lab.

Write platform notes: PC (shift-lock, dash key), mobile (which thumb cameras — do not lab seven inputs on day one), console (stick versus lock, trigger dash). Shorten the string on mobile. 4P - Geyser - 4P is a complete first goal. An 18-player server does not care who has a mouse.

Lab loop (do this, in this order)

1. Decide the slot with the spin planner. Redeem NewAir and WeGotPlant if they still work.
2. If you are Water, run the Hama quest so plant-draw tricks are on the kit you are labbing.
3. Write one line from the list above.
4. Run it in a quiet moment until the camera step is boring, then take it into a 1v1.
5. After a shutdown, read updates and beta and rewrite the line if Ice Breaker changed.

Do not paste a 12-ability “true combo” from a random Trello — there is no confirmed official Trello. Do not paste a script that auto-inputs 4P; that is scripts and safety. Fake codes belong on codes and Discord. If you have not landed Air, hunt it with the planner, then lab Funnel.

Keep the notes in reach. After each fight, mark where the string died: missed camera, dashed late, Burst on cooldown. A clean 4P - Geyser - 4P - Ice Breaker - camera - Aqua Burst - 4P on your platform beats a stolen Medal title. When the line is reliable, stop adding buttons. Open the tier list or sub-bending only after the camera step is muscle memory. The Tools Hub will still be there; this page should be stained with rewrite marks.
