Bending Grounds Players Hub

Treat each bending style as a character: identity, matchups, and how you actually unlock the kit.

Players Hub

Bending Grounds does not ship a MOBA-style hero roster. The “players” on this wiki are the playable bending styles: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Chi Blockers. Each one is a full identity — movement, structure, and the way an 18-player public-beta server punishes you when you mash.

This hub is the roster index. Deep ranks live on the element tier list. Rare kits live on the sub-bending list. If you only want the letter, start there. If you want to know whether Fire feels like you, stay here.

CSL Studios is running a public beta on Roblox (place 103745056080809), unofficial and not affiliated with Avatar: The Last Airbender, Paramount, or Nickelodeon. Mobile, console, and PC all work; input is not identical. Read controls before you copy a mouse combo onto a thumbstick.

How to pick a style

Ask what you already do in other battlegrounds. Confirms and ice as a wall: Water (community S on the Tier List hub). Projectiles, burn, kicking structure: Fire (A). Deciding where the fight exists: Earth (A). Living through chaos: Air (B). Movement tech with no paywall and a lower damage floor: Chi Blockers (B/C). Letters will shift after Air / Plant and other beta notes.

Unlocking, spins, and the free lane

Most styles come from element spins on your current slot. Redeem codes first. Tracked actives include NewAir (5 Current Slot Spins) and WeGotPlant (6 Current Slot Spins). Use how to redeem, then the spins guide and spin planner so you do not reroll the kit you wanted.

Chi Blockers are not behind a paywall. Anyone can play that lane. Ranking up adds master moves. That is the studio’s “come play without a lucky spin” answer, and it is why the Chi Blockers page belongs in this hub instead of a cash shop footnote.

Water players who want Blood still have to run the Hama quest (draw water from grass). That is a quest gate, not a spin gate. Plant is new enough that the WeGotPlant code exists — save the bank if that is the experiment you want.

Combat facts that change matchups

These are showcase facts, not wiki-invented damage numbers. Fire Blast can be deflected by other fire, blocked by an earth wall, can apply a 15% burn, and a dash clears that burn. Flame Kick is close-range, breaks earth or ice, ragdolls, and can stuff rock kick or ice spikes. Air Funnel ragdolls people in it and is blockable. Air and Chi Blockers both get an acrobatic dash; Chi Blockers also get a special run. Water’s training string is on water combos and in the combo lab: four punches, Geyser, four punches, Ice Breaker, camera rotate, Aqua Burst, four punches.

Each style page covers identity, strengths, weaknesses, a sample string, matchups, and unlocks, and links the other four on purpose. New accounts still start with Getting Started and how to play. After a shutdown, skim updates and confirm rumours on Discord rather than a week-old clip on socials.

Pick the style that matches how you already move. If you like converting punches into structure, start on Water. If you like breaking other people’s structure, start on Fire. Chi Blockers are the only lane that is openly not paywalled; everyone else is a spin plus practice. Identity first, thumbnail second.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Who should a new player pick?

If you like confirms, Water. If you like breaking walls, Fire. If you want a kit with no paywall, Chi Blockers. Read Getting Started before you dump spins.

Is this roster official?

No. Styles are community writeups for the public beta. Letters live on the element tier list. CSL Studios has not posted an official PvP ladder.

How do I unlock Blood or Plant?

Blood is Hama quest gated. Plant is a newer sub; save WeGotPlant spins and read the sub-bending list.

Do Chi Blockers need a lucky spin?

No. Anyone can play them, and ranking up adds master moves. They sit B/C because raw elemental damage is lower, not because the kit is locked.

Where do I practise strings?

Water’s confirm is on water combos and in the combo lab. Other styles use the same lab plus live 18-player reps.
