Bending Grounds Lightning Bending Guide

Players search how to get lightning in Bending Grounds after a TikTok showcase or a Sun Warrior clip. This page is the public-beta answer for CSL Studios’ Roblox arena (place 103745056080809). The experience is unofficial and fan-made. It is not affiliated with Avatar: The Last Airbender, Paramount, or Nickelodeon. Treat lightning as a Fire sub, not as a fifth starter Nation and not as proof you became the Avatar.

There is no official CSL Studios drop table for lightning. Developer-direction clips from @BendingGrounds described it as a Fire master-rank exclusive with two jobs: strike or reflect. The SunMaster code (5 Current Slot Spins, tied to the September 2026 Fire / Sun Warrior wave) is the community signal that this wave shipped. Until updates print a numbered note, that is direction, not a PDF. Do not invent a percent from a Discord screenshot.

What lightning is (and is not)

Lightning sits on the sub-bending list next to Sun Warrior as Fire burst. It does not delete the four Fire rules:

• Other fire can deflect Fire Blast.
• Earth walls block Blast.
• Blast can apply a 15% burn.
• A dash clears that burn.

A lightning player who never Flame Kicks ice or earth is still A-tier Fire with a louder finish. Kick still breaks earth or ice, ragdolls, and can stuff rock kick or ice spikes. Learn that button on the Fire page before you farm rank for a bolt.

Lightning is not:

• A starter spin you pick in Nation select.
• A four-element Avatar state. That rumour has its own honest page: How to Become the Avatar.
• A code that types lightning directly. NewAir is 5 Current Slot Spins. WeGotPlant is 6. SunMaster is 5 and tied to the Fire / Sun Warrior wave. None of them types lightning into the slot. See the codes hub.

How to actually chase it

1. Finish Nation select. Stay in Character Customization. Claim SunMaster (5 spins) and other codes with how to redeem so the bank sits on the Fire slot you will rank.
2. Spin Fire, not a random Nation, if lightning is the goal. Use How to Spin Elements and the spin planner. Chi Blockers are not paywalled and will not grow a Fire bolt. If you refuse to spin, play Chi Blockers for movement and stop searching lightning.
3. Learn the Fire loop on how to play and controls: Blast to force a dash or a wall, Kick the prop, Burst only when bodies clump. Rank is a grind. A bolt on a player who cannot dash burn is still a loss in an 18-player server.
4. Push master rank on that Fire slot. Developer-direction language is master-rank exclusive. We will not invent a number of wins, a hidden NPC, or a Robux shop SKU. If a comment lists a secret trainer, confirm it on Discord after the next shutdown, then come back here.
5. After it lands, lab strike versus reflect. Strike is the punish when someone already missed. Reflect is the Fire-mirror answer to a Blast you would otherwise eat. Neither one replaces Kick on ice.

Who should wait

Wait if you cannot dash a burn, cannot Kick a wall, or dumped WeGotPlant on a Water slot you will abandon. Lightning does not convert punches the way Water combos do. Water is still S on the element tier list for conversion. Fire is A because Kick exists. A bolt does not flip that letter by itself.

Wait if you are on mobile and still miss camera rotates. The mobile and console page maps the same verbs onto thumbs. A reflect you cannot aim is a donated round.

Wait if your only source is a 15-second clip with no rank HUD. Treat @BendingGrounds and community shorts as highlights. Frame data lives in your hands after ten M1 strings, not in a caption.

How lightning loses

Earth still owns space. A wall that deletes Blast also deletes the lane you wanted to throw a bolt down. Kick the wall; do not bolt the brick.

Water still converts if you whiff. Geyser into Ice Breaker into a camera-turn Aqua Burst is a long defense if you greeded strike from fullscreen.

Air still lives. Air Funnel is blockable and ragdolls people who linger. Funnel into your startup and you are the highlight.

Other Fire still deflect. Reflect is the interesting Fire-mirror tool. Spamming strike into a player who already sent Blast back is how you donate the round.

After a shutdown

The Roblox universe last moved around 3 September 2026. The listing still says [BETA]. Public testing notes live on public testing and the beta timeline. If lightning gates, damage, or reflect rules change, they will show up the same way Air produced NewAir, Plant produced WeGotPlant, and the September wave produced SunMaster — on Air and Plant, the Updates hub, and this page on the next pass.
